ABOUT

Tom McGuire is currently a Director in the Early Oncology Medicinal Chemistry department at AstraZeneca based in Cambridge. He obtained his MSci at the University of Strathclyde in 2001 before completing a PhD at the same institution under John Murphy in 2004. Tom spend his initial time at AstraZeneca working in Respiratory and Inflammation research area but has been working in Oncology for the last 14 years. He has been heavily involved in a number of academic collaborations over the years having previously led the Oncology and Discovery Sciences academic collaboration strategy.

Tom currently leads synthetic chemistry strategy in Early Oncology and manages a flexible synthesis and discovery process group.
