ABOUT
Prof. Stephen Thomas is a professor of catalysis at the University of Edinburgh. The Thomas group have published over 60 papers on Earth-abundant element catalysis, including using boron and aluminium catalysts, and pioneered the use of transborylation as a mechanism of catalyst turnover. The group’s work has been recognised by prizes including UK Blavatnik Finalist, RSC Merck, Sharpe and Dohme and Hickbottom awards and a Pfizer Green Chemistry Research Grant. The Thomas group currently collaborate with a range of UK-based industrial companies including AZ, GSK, Lubrizol and Johnson-Matthey.
