ABOUT
Clément obtained his Master’s Degree from the National Graduate School of Engineering Chemistry of Lille in France. Discovering the University of Edinburgh thanks to an Erasmus exchange, he stayed there to carry out his PhD under the supervision of Doctor Michael Cowley investigating low-valent main group fundamental chemistry, focusing on Phosphorus, Boron, and Silicon elements. He graduated in 2019 and after a short postdoctoral position with Doctor Michael Cowley he went to industry, developing new polymer materials for contact lenses as Senior Chemist at Ocutec Ltd. In 2022, Clément joined Professor Michael J. Ingleson group as a PDRA. His research is now focusing on fundamental boron chemistry and its application to catalysis.
